As we all forum owners know most of our visitors who are registered users donot click on ads, and people who visit our forums face a really bad problem of integrating ads into the forum.
Not any more one of the most tried and tested approach which I myself have used for many many times and on couiple of my forums with good results.

Adsense ads must not be visitble to the Registered users, there are very less chance of them clicking on it!
Dono include more then one adsense box in forum or site! This helps it CTR trust me.
If the ads are placed above the eye line, the can be seen easilly by the visitors and chances of being clicked are very high!
You can blend the ads with text, the usual way of implement ads in forums can be seen here a demo!

This is one of the implementation which I did!
With my experience I have seen ads with LargeRectangle are clicked more then any other ad layout!

I do take custom forum ad placement, leave it to me everything, and I will make sure your CTR improves.
Remember I cannot gaurantee you anything, If yourr forum gets good traffic, then surely your ctr will improve, this is just by improving your adplacement nothing else..
